How to Use Weed Mat NZ?

5. Add Mulch and Gravel: Cover the weed mat with mulch, bark or gravel. This protects it from UV light. These also add an extra layer of weed suppression.

6. Monitor and Maintain: You need to check occasionally. Weeds might grow around the edges or through any holes in the fabric. Pull these weeds out to maintain the effectiveness of the weed mat.

7. Tips for Best Results: High-quality, UV-stabilized weed mat ensure longevity. Permeable fabric can allow water and nutrients to reach the plant roots. Avoid overlapping too much when laying multiple pieces of fabric. This can create gaps where weeds may grow.
